Disability ACT in association with Community Connections and FLY are proud to present the
My Life My home workshop.
What contributes to a good life? What makes a good home?
this workshop brings presenters from Canberra and interstate to share insights how people who have a disability have been able to develop lives “on their own terms” within their communities, and the innovative ways in which families, allies, and services have assisted them through working with the individual to develop personalised supports.
The workshop will show that there are practical options available to people if we strengthen and support the capacity of families, guardians, and ordinary citizens, and if we can set our imagination and actions towards finding inclusive and personalised solutions.
The workshop will be highly relevant for families (including extended families), allies, and those who work with people with disability.
