AAACT Library

AAACT’s library catalogue is currently being uploaded to Library Thing website (when it is fully operational members will be able to view our library catalogue online).  We have been fortunate to have a library studies student from CIT assist us with this process however we would appreciate if any members are available to help us complete this process (please contact our office if you can help out). We are also keen to find out if there are any members able to volunteer their time to help out in the office adhoc with simple administrative duties-a few hours of your time would be greatly appreciated.  For more information, please call our office on 6176 0514 or email admin@autismaspergeract.com.au

Fundraising

Firstly, a big thank you to everyone why supported our Rain Man fundraiser last night, a great time was had by all, and we raised much needed funds for the Association.

Support Group for  Parents of  School Aged Children with Autism

The next support group for parents of school age children with autism is on Friday 30 July 2010 10-12pm.  Autism Asperger ACT office is at the Chifley Health and Wellbeing Centre (formerly Melrose primary) Corner of Eggleston and Maclaurin Crescents Chifley.  Entrance to our office is through the door near the large YMCA sign.  The topic for this month will be discussing ‘communicating with schools’. New Evening Support Group

 The support group for parents of school age children with autism will be hosting its first EVENING group on Thursday 22 July 2010 7-9pm.  The meeting will be held at SHOUT offices Building 1 (Main Meeting Room), Collett Place, Pearce.  Jenny Adams will be facilitating the meeting. Tea, coffee and a light snack will be provided. Please circulate this invite through your relevant networks. Grandparents Group

The Defence Special Needs Support Group provides support, information, assistance and advocacy for all defence families who have a dependant child with special needs. They also offer subsidies for some special needs information workshops.
