For the first session in 2012 Monday 13th February we are delighted to welcome Gini Eagle, Equine therapist and Social Worker. Gini will be explaining about Equine Facilitative Learning and her program at the Ingelara Retreat.
EFL is a program where people can learn about themselves, relationships and the world through interaction with a horse. It is a ground based activity. Equine Facilitated Learning helps young people to improve their skills in schoolwork, friendships, personal awareness and everyday life.
EFL empowers the young person to feel what it’s like to be a confident leader. No previous horse experience is necessary
The program includes: horse care and handling skills, playing games with the horse, farm activities e.g. feeding pigs and chickens, basic yoga, breath work and visualization to enhance creativity and relax mind and body, time in the tipi, exploring meditation and trusting intuition.
