AAACT Wednesday 7th December Monthly Meeting Topic an invitations to all members to come and meet the new AAACT Committee and hear about their plans for 2012. A great opportunity to voice your opinions and be heard.

Research Project: Investigating into the experiences of adults with Asperger’s disorder and high functioning autism. Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) are conducting a research project about the life experiences and support needs of people aged 18 years and over with high functioning autism and Asperger’s disorder.

CatholicCare's Flexible Family Respite Program (FFRP) currently has vacancies to offer Short term Emergency support to families supporting: a person with a mental illness, a person with a disability, a person who is aged, a person with a chronic care need as a result of illness, injury, or drug and alcohol use, or a carer of someone who meets the above criteria.
The aim of the program is to provide support in so that the individuals or families resilience is enhanced. FFRP focuses on skill development and the fostering of effective family relationships.

PERCEPTION... celebrating International Day of People with Disability, Perception is the annual visual arts showcase exhibition showing works by Canberra artists living with disability and disadvantage.
