ACT Autism Advisors

Autism Advisory Service

The Autism Advisory Service is a component of the Federal Helping Children With Autism (HCWA), package which is funded by the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA).

 

How can an Advisor help you?

  • Register with Early Intervention funding
  • Support and inform families
  • Link to Early Intervention services

 

Eligibility for FaHCSIA Early Intervention funding

  1. 0-6 years (and must see an Autism Advisor before their 6th birthday);
  2. Diagnosed by an eligible practitioner with a Pervasive Developmental Disorder
    • Autistic Disorder
    • Asperger’s Syndrome,
    • Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS),
    • Rett Syndrome
    • Childhood Disintegrative Disorder; and
  3. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Parent Information Session with Panel Providers

Open to parents and carers of children who are registered for funding under the Helping Children With Autism package. If you are unsure whether the session is for you, contact the Autism Advisors.
